Bye Bye Birdie.. :(

On Friday, Dec 3rd, we found Romeo lying in the bottom of his cage ALIVE, but unable to move very well. I picked him up and found that he could not move his left leg at all and had a hard time with his left wing as well. I kept him by my bed all night and watched him. We thought he must have broken his leg. So, saturday morning we took him to the vet to see what could be done. The vet said it definitely wasn't a broken leg. She said that he either had cancer or had a stroke. She said that he would not get better. So we had to put him down :(
I have had Romeo for ten years. He has been everywhere with me! He moved with us to Boise, 3 different homes in Blackfoot, he came with me to college, then to Vegas and Logan. He even lived with Grandma Gillins for awhile. He was definitely a trooper!
Its crazy how one little bird can completely break my heart. I miss him so much!!

My cute nephew Mikey (4 yers old) made me a Romeo out of paper and brought it to me on Sunday.

Everyone that knew my cute bird loved him. He was so sweet. He could open his own cage and would always fly over to us when we were watching movies and sit on our shoulder the whole time. He gave kisses and LOVED eating out of my cereal bowl. (my mom thinks its gross but i thought it was cute) ha ha.

New apartment & Christmas decor!!!

We moved into our apartment in Logan the first of November. We will be here until February or March.
Yesterday we went and got our Christmas tree!! I love walking through the door and smelling it!! The smell fills the whole apartment.

                         Upstairs there is a bathroom and two bedrooms. I love having two bedrooms!

Halloween!

For Halloween, Morgan and I were the Cheshire Cat and the Mad Hatter...

I know, I look like a 5-year-old... but I thought our costumes turned out alright.  :)

The Spilletts had a big halloween party. It was way fun and really good to see everyone!

My new couch!!!

We just bought our first couch! We have been borrowing and renting furniture since we got married. Now we finally have our own!! I'm so excited :)

Hailey + Jerica + Vegas Strip=

My Dad came to Vegas and stole our husbands for the weekend... They all went to Arizona. So, Hailey and I decided to go out! We went down to the strip.

We went to the Coca-Cola Factory and they had the Coca-Cola bear there!

We tried the 16 different Cokes from around the world. There were some really yummy ones and some really nasty ones!!!

Then we went to the M&M factory. We watched a FREE 3-D M&M movie, which was pretty corny, but cute.

We also climbed up on the statues that are at Mandalay Bay. (Which I found out later is ILLEGAL!!) oops...

We had tons of fun! Who needs clubs and alcohol when you have Hailey and I?? We'll show you a good time :) Come visit us!

Happy Birthday Ab!!

I just wanted to take a minute and say Happy Birthday to Abbie!!! Abbie has been my best friend for years! She is so sweet, nice, funny and would absolutely do anything for you. She is the kind of friend that everyone needs to have!

These were a few times over the past year that we actually got to see eachother...

And this was one of the funnest, craziest nights! It's a secret what happened on this night so I can't tell about it, but I know we will NEVER forget it!! :)

We don't get to see each other much anymore, or even talk much either, because both of our lives are way crazy! but I just want you to know Ab, that you are still, and always will be, one of my very very best friends!!

Happy Anniversary to the love of my life...

On August 8, we celebrated our TWO YEAR anniversary! I can't believe it has been two years! It went by so fast. And I have loved every minute of it!
Our anniversary was on a Sunday, so we went out on Monday. We went to Chili's because they have our favorite appetizer: Chips and salsa with avocado ranch!! If you haven't tried this, you need to!!

Some things that I have learned about Morgan and LOVE!!:
- Whenever I try to be mad at him, it doesn't last very long. He will bug me and tease me and do his really loud fake funny laugh until I crack a smile. Once I do, he starts doing it even more until I am laughing! He makes me laugh so hard, I don't even know why I try to be mad at him.....
-Morgan absolutely loves chocolate milk. His very favorite kind is from Gossner's in Logan. He goes through about 2 cases a month. That's a lot of chocolate milk!
-Morgan is good at everything he does!! He tries a new sport or hobby or job and always rocks at it! It drives me crazy because I'm definitely not like that.
-He loves feather pillows. His mom gave him one a long time ago, and this past year it ripped... He was SO sad.. So if anyone knows a good place to get another one, let me know!!
-Morgan is really good with kids. He is going to be the best dad! I love watching him in church because he finds kids in front of us who are looking over their bench and he makes the funniest faces at them! They always smile and make faces back and try to get their mom to look too. All of our nieces and nephews absolutely LOVE Morgan.
-Morgan loves to hunt and fish. At the first of our marriage, I hated it when he leave to go hunting or fishing. But, after these few years, I've learned his trips are a good thing. Nothing relieves more stress for him than a good hunting and fishing trip. He is the happiest person in the world when he gets back from those trips.
-Some of his favorite thing: Reese's peanut butter cups, muffin tops cereal, Mountain Dew, Terminator Salvation and The Dark Night, ME! :), Mexican food, sleeping in, visiting his family, going to the movies, Panda Express & Caprioti's, mint ice cream, german chocolate cake
-Morgan is the funnest person to play rock band with. I can't even explain why. You will just have to see for yourself! We own it so let me know when you want to come play :)
-Morgan is really good at soccer. I love watching him play because he does really sweet acrobatic moves :) He jumps really high in the air and practically does the splits to kick the ball. It's pretty sweet. Although, he has got in a few fist fights during his games... ha ha
-Morgan went to college for one semester and decided it wasn't for him. He wants to be an entrepreneur and own his own businesses. I know he will be successful in whatever he does. He is such a hard worker.
-Morgan would do anything for me.
